She is also known for her kindness and willingness to help others—whether supporting a classmate, assisting a teacher, or contributing to the school community. Madelyn’s respect, responsibility, and caring nature make her truly deserving of this recognition.

Let’s give our 8th graders the ultimate send-off!
The Hemlock Middle School PTO and the Hemlock Pep Club have put together a fantastic lineup of events for the last two days of school to celebrate the amazing Class of 2030.
Mark your calendars and come help us make these final middle school memories special:
Thursday, June 4th
Chalk the Walk (Thursday Evening): Stop by the HMS sidewalk anytime on Thursday evening to write an encouraging, celebratory, or sweet chalk message for your student to see on their last day!
Friday, June 5th
Clap Out: Join us outside the HMS main doors on Friday to cheer, clap, and make some noise for our 8th graders as they exit through the front doors!
Pizza Picnic (Immediately After School): The celebration continues at Richland Township Park! All 8th graders are treated to a fun pizza picnic right after the final bell.
Keep an eye out for some awesome new gear! The Hemlock Pep Club has generously purchased class t-shirts for the students who requested one.
Thank you to everyone in our amazing community for helping us say farewell to the Class of 2030.
Let's make it unforgettable!

Since Tuesday was National Paper Airplane Day, Mrs. Garrett's fifth graders tried their hand at some aviation engineering!
The hall turned into a runway as students designed, folded, and tested their best creations - we think we definitely have some future aerospace engineers in the making! |

Summer Break is coming soon, and we have many items in our Lost and Found. Please encourage your student to look through these items over the next two weeks.
All unclaimed items will be donated on Monday, June 8th.
Thank you!

How you can help send an 8th grader to Washington D.C. and also snag some HPS merch for your front yard? By purchasing a Hemlock Huskies yard sign, you are making it possible for students to go on this special trip to our nation's capitol in 2027.
In order to buy a sign (or two), simply contact the 7th grader in your life who is planning on attending the trip, contact Jennifer Wendling at (989) 284-1112, or Hemlock Middle School at (989) 642-5253.
Thank you for your support!

Big news from Hemlock Middle School!
We are incredibly proud to share that our very own fifth grader, Max Nyquist, has been selected to sing the National Anthem at TWO Great Lakes Loons baseball games this summer!
If you want to catch him performing (and enjoy some baseball), here are the dates:
Game 1: Sunday, June 21st, at 1:05 PM
Game 2: Sunday, August 2nd, at 1:05 PM
He has been practicing hard, and we would love to see some familiar faces in the crowd cheering him on.
