Their tireless preparation paid off with an outstanding performance that earned them the top score available from a panel of judges with a combined 60+ years of teaching and performance experience.

Following their performance, the band got a clinic by both judges, and picked up lots of new tips to be better musicians and even better people.

Mock Trial

Hemlock High School took the courtroom by storm at Law Day’s Mock Trials this morning at the Saginaw County Courthouse. Our defense team didn’t just win their case—they won over the room with their stellar performances.

A huge congratulations to our dynamic team of lawyers (Spence Burns and Emily Premo), the defendant (Ian Fry), and witnesses (Alathea McMillan and Lily Clark), and shout out to Lyli-Ann Torchia who led the SCC color guard to open the award ceremony.

An extra round of applause for Mr. Sysak, who was honored with the Golden Apple Award from the Saginaw County Bar Association for his dedication as Hemlock’s Mock Trial coach. Well deserved!

Hey, What's for Lunch?

We are thrilled to announce that thanks to the Michigan School Meals Program, EVERY child at Hemlock Public School District, pre-K through 12th grade, will now be able to enjoy a delicious and nutritious breakfast and lunch for FREE!

Not only will this amazing program lighten the load on your wallet (we all know kids can eat their way through a pantry), but it'll save you precious time in the morning.

Now, here's the nitty-gritty: Although the meals are free, we do need all our parents to fill out the new free/reduced lunch application. This data is super important as it helps secure state and federal funding for this fantastic initiative.

Here's to full bellies, vibrant minds, and the #huskietastic school year ahead!

Izzy Krueger scored her 1st goal of the season and Maycee Vanderwall netted her 1st career varsity goal to finish off the scoring. Our defense led by Lexie Rump stood strong, and goalkeeper Taryn Pratt made 3 saves in her 1st varsity shutout.
