Students can now come in through the Legend Gymnasium front doors and walk “Mainstreet” to class. The weight room and wrestling room are next, opening soon once we are ready. Thank you, Huskie community, for helping make this possible. #LegendGymnasium #BetterTogether #HuskiePack

EMC

Why wait? With Hemlock’s Early Middle College, students can earn college credits before graduation—saving families thousands while gaining a head start. Even with 2 years of free community college, EMC still leads the pack.

Hall of Fame Game

Hall of Fame

Last Friday at halftime, we proudly inducted Bob Kilgore into the Hemlock Hall of Fame—honoring his decades of coaching, mentoring, and community building. Nearly a year after his passing, Bob’s family stood on the field to accept this award on his behalf, a moving tribute to a legacy that continues to shape Hemlock athletics.

As part of capturing their memories, our intern Ian recorded a Huskie Pack podcast interview with the Kilgore family—stay tuned to hear their heartfelt stories when that episode is released soon.

Hey, What's for Lunch?

We are thrilled to announce that thanks to the Michigan School Meals Program, EVERY child at Hemlock Public School District, pre-K through 12th grade, will now be able to enjoy a delicious and nutritious breakfast and lunch for FREE!

Not only will this amazing program lighten the load on your wallet (we all know kids can eat their way through a pantry), but it'll save you precious time in the morning.

Now, here's the nitty-gritty: Although the meals are free, we do need all our parents to fill out the new free/reduced lunch application. This data is super important as it helps secure state and federal funding for this fantastic initiative.

Here's to full bellies, vibrant minds, and the #huskietastic school year ahead!

To add funds to your student's account for a la carte items, please use the following link:

https://hemlockps.revtrak.net/

Important Meal Information for Families

All students are currently eligible to receive free breakfast and/or lunch each school day. However, if a student chooses to take milk only, it is available for $0.50.

We strongly encourage all families to complete the Free and Reduced Meal Application, as we are unsure whether free meals for all students will continue beyond September 30.

Thank you for your attention and support!

Dallas

Friday Night Lights just got better, meet Dallas!

As we prep lighting for future night track meets, we’re testing a supervised play zone for our elementary & middle school students—an auxiliary game at the game. Because let’s be honest: kids have always treated the pavilion like a NASCAR track, occasionally clipping the dad balancing three Diet Cokes and a nacho… and yes, splashing that puddle next to the brave mom in white pants (in October—bold choice).

Here’s the plan:
Where: Northwest of Wallace Field
Who: Elementary & middle school students
Supervision: Dallas, HHS senior (and all-around good guy)
Gear: Please don’t bring balls—we’ll provide them
Parents: We still encourage you to watch the game with your kids; this is just a helpful option

We’re learning as we go, so thanks for the grace. Brighter bulbs are literally on the way. See you under the lights!

Player of the week

Friday's "Player of the Game," sponsored by Primetime Painting and Powerwashing, was no easy selection. We had great performances by a bunch of players in our 47-8 victory. Wyatt Launstein's 99 yd fumble recovery returned for a TD was the deciding factor. Such a rare play, and a great way to put a cherry on top of a TEAM win. Wyatt also had 1 reception (we only threw twice) for a 20 yd TD and a couple of big PBU's on defense.
