Hey, What's for Lunch?

We are thrilled to announce that thanks to the Michigan School Meals Program, EVERY child at Hemlock Public School District, pre-K through 12th grade, will now be able to enjoy a delicious and nutritious breakfast and lunch for FREE!

Not only will this amazing program lighten the load on your wallet (we all know kids can eat their way through a pantry), but it'll save you precious time in the morning.

Now, here's the nitty-gritty: Although the meals are free, we do need all our parents to fill out the new free/reduced lunch application. This data is super important as it helps secure state and federal funding for this fantastic initiative.

Here's to full bellies, vibrant minds, and the #huskietastic school year ahead!

SVSU Coach Ryan Brady presented to our guys this morning about what he sees as the “principles of success”. His message was filled with great pieces of advice and inspiring stories.

He told of the 1-8 Chesaning HS team he found himself on as a sophomore that went on to win the state championship his senior year. It was a collective decision by him and his buddies to embrace the work and truly live the football life. It was a team filled with fiery, competitive boys that never backed down from a challenge.

Awesome stuff!

We definitely had some guys that just didn't want to end their season losing to Ithaca for the 3rd time. This game was just our night. Chad Brown had an incredible night making 7 of 8 from the 3 point line and scoring a career high 37 points. We got a lot of contributions from all of the players that got in the game.

The Huskies wrap up their regular season with a 19-3 record including a 10-0 record in the TVC Blue Conference. They will open district play at 5:30 on Wednesday at Montrose High School against the winner of Monday's Ithaca/Montrose game.
