|
|
On Monday night the JV Huskies kept rolling, securing win number 7 on the season and their 3rd in a row, defeating the St. Charles Bulldogs by a final score of 45 to 16. Hemlock won this one with defense, only allowing 6 total first half points, and 0 second chance points. After a bit of a slow offensive start, the boys shook out of it, and opened the game up, never looking back. It was a great team win, in a game where each player contributed points. Markus Plowden led all scorers with 8 points, Roman Smith added 6, while Tristyn Church, Sam Dunton, Jacob Casey, and Brayden Stanard all chipped in 4. Cameron McNalley also knocked down his first long range jumper of the season! Good win boys! |

Last night the JV Huskies pulled out a win against the Merrill Vandals by a final score of 47 to 25. It wasn’t the prettiest game for the Huskies, despite the hot 17-0 start. Hemlock struggled on the glass and found themselves in foul trouble early, which kept Merrill in the game, but they stayed together as a team, kept their composure and never let Merrill get too close for comfort. Some nice outside shooting and full court press execution were key for this victory, the boys’ 9th this year. Sam Dunton was the leader in this one, controlling the pace and making timely decisions, he finished as the game’s leading scorer with 20 points, also dishing out several assists. Tristyn Church added 8 of his own points, while controlling the middle for Hemlock with 8 rebounds. Jacob Casey and Cooper Gensch scored 6 and 5 points respectively. Good win boys. |

Hemlock Leaders
Dawson Davenport - 15 Points, 3 Steals
Cal McFadden - 13 Points, 9 Rebounds, 2 Blocks
Kellan Schultz - 13 Points, 8 Rebounds, 4 Steals, 3 Assists, 2 Blocks
Gavin Schmidt - 9 Points, 5 Rebounds, 4 Steals
Ethan Long - 7 Points, 3 Steals, 3 Assists
The boys continue to impress with their stamina. With only 8 full time players on the roster, the team continues to give really good effort. That effort is translating into improved play. Both the boys and girls teams have a big game on Friday at MLS. Hoping to see a great turnout from our student body to support both teams!

We hope this message finds you well! As we move further into the school year, we want to remind families of the importance of having an up-to-date medication authorization form on file for any student who may need medication during the school day.
If your child requires an EpiPen, inhaler, or any other prescribed or over-the-counter medication while at school, we must have the proper documentation completed and signed by both a parent/guardian and the child’s healthcare provider. This ensures we can safely and promptly assist your student in the event of a medical need.
Please note that medications cannot be given at school without a current medication form on file. This includes carrying or self-administering inhalers, EpiPens, or any other type of emergency medication.
Medication forms are available in the school office or can be downloaded from our district website. If you need assistance completing the form or have any questions about your child’s health plan, please don’t hesitate to contact our school nurse.
Thank you for helping us keep all students safe and healthy at school!
